Paukkunen, J., Söderman, G., Leinonen, R., Pöyry, J., Raekunnas, M., Teräs, I., Viitasaari, M. & Vikberg, V. 2009. Havaintoja Suomelle uusista, hävinneistä, uhanalaisista ja silmälläpidettävistä myrkky- ja sahapistiäislajeista. [Records of new and redlisted aculeate wasps, ants, bees and sawflies from Finland.] – Sahlbergia 15(1): 2-20. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

Twenty-four species and one subspecies of Hymenoptera Aculeata and Symphyta are recorded new to the Finnish fauna: the cuckoo wasps Chrysis corusca Valkeila, Chrysis insperata Chevrier, Chrysis leptomandibularis Niehuis and Chrysis mediata Linsenmaier (s. str.), the ants Myrmica vandeli Bondroit and Lasius sabularum (Bondroit), the spider wasp Arachnospila alvarabnormis Wolf, the digger wasps Psenulus schencki (Tournier), Pemphredon mortifer Valkeila and Crabro ingricus (F. Morawitz), the bees Hylaeus paulus Bridwell, Andrena bluethgeni Stoeckhert, Halictus leucaheneus Ebmer, Osmia bicolor (Schrank), Osmia bicornis (Linnaeus), Osmia svenssoni Tkalců, Coelioxys alata Förster, Nomada ferruginata (Linnaeus) and Nomada succincta Panzer, and the sawflies Tenthredo temula Scopoli, Macrophya teutona (Panzer), Cladius ulmi (Linnaeus), Hoplocampa flava (Linnaeus), Hoplocampa fulvicornis (Panzer) and Paranematus wahlbergi wahlbergi (Thomson). Nippocryptus quadriannulatus (Gravenhorst, 1829) ja Cryptus fibulatus Gravenhorst, 1829 Suomesta (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Cryptinae)

Koponen, M. & Jussila, R. 2009: Nippocryptus quadriannulatus (Gravenhorst, 1829) ja Cryptus fibulatus Gravenhorst, 1829 Suomesta (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Cryptinae). [Nippocryptus quadriannulatus (Gravenhorst, 1829 and Cryptus fibulatus Gravenhorst, 1829 in Finland]. – Sahlbergia 15(1): 21-22. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

Two Cryptinae species are reported as new to Finland. Nippocryptus quadriannulatus (Gravenhorst, 1829) was reported earlier as a parasitoid of Gilpinia polytoma (Hartig, 1834). Apparently this report was based on a wrong determination of Cryptus fibulatus Gravenhorst, 1829.

An annotated check list of Swedish black fungus gnats (Diptera, Sciaridae)

Heller, K., Vilkamaa, P. & Hippa, H. 2009: An annotated check list of Swedish black fungus gnats (Diptera, Sciaridae). – Sahlbergia 15(1): 23-51. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

Species of Sciaridae (Diptera) currently known from Sweden are listed. The records are based on the identification of recently collected material, beingmainly samples of the Swedish Malaise Trap Project, and on a literature review. Of 286 species presently known from Sweden, 178 are reported for the first time. Cratyna nigerrima (Mohrig & Krivosheina, 1979), Lycoriella (Hemineurina) polaris Mohrig & Mamaev, 1985 and Lycoriella (Hemineurina) subpermutata Mohrig & Mamaev, 1990, are new to Europe. The distribution and ecology of these and 61 other species new to Fennoscandia, are briefly discussed. Bradysia pratincola Tuomikoski, 1960, is regarded as a junior synonym of Bradysia affinis (Zetterstedt, 1838), and the status of Bradysia moestula Tuomikoski, 1960, is restored as a valid species.

Cryptopipiza notabila (Violovitsh, 1985) (Diptera, Syrphidae) new to Finland

Ståhls, G. & Vujić, A. 2009: Cryptopipiza notabila (Violovitsh, 1985) (Diptera, Syrphidae) new to Finland. — Sahlbergia 15(2): 1-2. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

Cryptopipiza notabila (Violovitsh, 1985) (Diptera, Syrphidae) is reported as new to Finland based on previously overlooked specimens in the collections of the Zoological Museum, Helsinki (MZH). The species is recorded from provinces N, Ka, St and Ks. Additionally, provincial records for a few rarely collected Pipizini are given.

On the taxonomy of Phyllocolpa scotaspis (Förster, 1854) and Phyllocolpa anglica (Cameron, 1877) and notes on the species groups of Phyllocolpa (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae: Nematinae)

Vikberg, V. 2009: On the taxonomy of Phyllocolpa scotaspis (Förster, 1854) and Phyllocolpa anglica (Cameron, 1877) and notes on the species groups of Phyllocolpa (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae: Nematinae). – Sahlbergia 15(2): 3-13. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

The gall making sawflies Phyllocolpa scotaspis (Förster, 1854) and Phyllocolpa anglica (Cameron, 1877), treated as synonyms by Kopelke (2007), are valid species, which belong to different species groups. Some characters of the adults and ways of separating the two species are pointed out. Nematus westermanni Thomson, 1863 is regarded as a synonym of Phyllocolpa scotaspis. Pontania nigrolineata Cameron, 1879 and Pontania fibulata Konow, 1901 are proposed as new synonyms of Phyllocolpa anglica (Cameron, 1877). Nematus leucapsis Tischbein, 1846 is hereby selected as the type species of Phyllocolpa Benson, 1960. Notes on the names and composition of the species groups of the genus Phyllocolpa are given.

Suvun eurooppalaisista lajeista saksalainen tutkija Jens-Peter Kopelke teki vuonna 2007 revision. Siinä hän väärin synonymisoi lajit Phyllocolpa scotaspis ja anglica mitkä on kuitenkin helppo erottaa toisistaan koska kuuluvat eri lajiryhmiin. Suvun tyyppilajille Phyllocolpa leucapsis (Tischbein) hän valitsi neotyypin minkä seurauksena lajin käsitys muuttui vallan toiseksi kuin aikaisemmin yleisesti käytettiin. Tästä aiheutui harmia myös aiemmin käytettyjen lajiryhmien nimien suhteen.

Suomen loispistiäisluettelo (Hymenoptera, Parasitica) osa 7. heimo Ichneumonidae, alaheimot Alomyinae ja Ichneumoninae

Koponen, Martti, Jussila, Reijo & Vikberg, Veli 2009: Suomen loispistiäisluettelo (Hymenoptera, Parasitica). Osa 7. heimo Ichneumonidae, alaheimot Alomyinae ja Ichneumoninae. [A check list of Finnish Hymenoptera, Parasitica, part 7. family Ichneumonidae, subfamilies Alomyinae and Ichneumoninae.] – Sahlbergia 15(2): 14-48. Helsinki, Finland, ISSN 1237-3273.

This seventh and last part of our check list contains the subfamilies Alomyinae and Ichneumoninae (Ichneumonidae) with 453 species from present-day Finland. The total number of species of Ichneumonidae in our lists is (118+201+491+459 +430+371+453) 2523. Twenty-three species are reported as new to Finland: Diadromus collaris (Gravenhorst, 1829), Diadromus intermedius Wesmael, 1845, Aethecerus exilis Wesmael, 1848, Oronotus binotatus (Gravenhorst, 1829), Phaeogenes trepidus Wesmael, 1845, Eriplatys sawoniewiczi Diller, 1993, Tycherus dodecellae Ranin, 1983, Tycherus vagus (Berthoumieu, 1899), Trachyarus brevipennis Roman, 1918, Linycus flavitarsis (Heinrich, 1936), Asthenolabus stellae (Heinrich, 1936), Pseudoplatylabus violentus (Gravenhorst, 1829), Cyclolabus alpinus (Habermehl, 1917), Virgichneumon maculicauda (Perkins, 1953), Barichneumon plagiarius (Wesmael, 1848), Ichneumon analisorius Heinrich, 1952, Ichneumon hypolius Thomson, 1888, Ichneumon leucopeltis Thomson, 1888, Ichneumon pseudocaloscelis Heinrich, 1949, Ichneumon stramentor Rasnitsyn, 1981, Coelichneumon atratorius (Villers, 1789), and Coelichneumon biguttorius (Thunberg, 1789). Ichneumon submarginatus Gravenhorst, 1829 is new to present-day Finland. Coelichneumon atratorius (Villers, 1789) is also new to Finland. Hellén (1951b) reported it as C. multicolor (Gmelin, 1790; homonym) from Russian Karelia but not from Finland (Yu 1999). According to Ranin (1981) specimens reported by Karvonen (1978) as Herpestomus wesmaeli Perkins, 1953 were misidentified. Heterischnus anomalus (Wesmael, 1857) was reported from Finland by Hellén (1942), but the report was cancelled later (Hellén 1948). Phaeogenes spiniger (Gravenhorst, 1829) was reported from Finland by Hellén (1948) but cancelled later (Hellén 1957). Ichneumon alpinator Aubert, 1964 = Ichneumon lautareti Hinz, 1984 (synonymized by Hilpert 1992) is not found from Finland although indicated by Yu (1999) and Yu et al. (2005). Specimen of Ichneumon lautareti in MZH is from France (F). Ichneumon boreellus Thomson, 1896 was described from Sweden (Hls), not from Finland, as stated by Yu et al. (2005). The holotype of Ichneumon laevibasis Hellén, 1951 is not from Finland but from Russia, Murmansk region, Kola peninsula taken by J. Sahlberg in 1870. Ichneumon rudolphi Holmgren, 1884 was described from Sweden, not from Finland, as stated by Yu ym. (2005). Hls and Hels (Hilpert 1992) means Helsingland (in Sweden) not Helsinki or Helsingfors (in Finland).
